Aboard the «Alpine Classic Pullman-Express», the journey on the Albula line becomes an elegant trip back in time. In historic Pullman carriages in Art Deco style, you travel along the UNESCO World Heritage route through the impressive mountain landscape of Graubünden and experience Belle Époque flair at its finest.

Route and ambience

The route leads from Thusis via Bergün to St. Moritz and across the famous Landwasser Viaduct. Comfortable armchairs, bay windows, delicate tables and fine teakwood define the refined ambience; a reserved window seat is guaranteed.

Two day options

In Bergün, railway enthusiasts can look forward to a special guided tour of the Albula Railway Museum as well as a visit to the impressive Bergün–Preda model railway at the local museum. Alternatively, the day may be spent in St. Moritz, including a walk and a light lunch at the renowned Hotel Waldhaus am See.

01Saturday, 19 September 2026Thusis – Bergün – St. Moritz – Chur

Shortly before 9 am, we take our seats in the luxurious compartment from the 1930s and enjoy the fascinating journey with ever-changing views. With a guaranteed window seat, we travel along the UNESCO World Heritage Albula route from Thusis via Bergün to St. Moritz, while an aperitif is served and we immerse ourselves in the construction history and railway culture of Graubünden. In Bergün, railway enthusiasts alight for a special guided tour of the Albula Railway Museum and, in the afternoon, a visit to the impressive Bergün–Preda model railway at the local museum. Alternatively, the day may be spent in St. Moritz with a walk and a light lunch at Hotel Waldhaus am See. The return journey departs from Bergün or, shortly after 3 pm, from St. Moritz, once again in the elegant Pullman carriage to Chur, arriving at around 5 pm.
